Install

  1. Open VS Code → Extensions panel.
  2. Click the ⋯ menu → Install from VSIX… and pick the downloaded file.
  3. Reload VS Code when prompted.

Activate your license

  1. Open the Command Palette (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+P).
  2. Run “PreAI: Activate License” and paste your key from License & Download.
  3. Paid features unlock immediately; each device uses one seat.

Air-gapped? Use “PreAI: Import Offline License” with a .lic file (request one from support).

Stay up to date

The extension checks for updates automatically. To pin the check at your own endpoint, set in VS Code settings:

"preai.updates.autoCheck": true,
"preai.updates.manifestUrl": "https://portal.preai.io/api/update-manifest"

System requirements: VS Code 1.85+. Works offline; no telemetry from the analysis.
